An early start (6:20am) to get the washing done before anyone else wanted to use the machines. Three loads were done today - a big day! After breakfast, Greg went riding with M&S only to return just after 10:30am after receiving a phone call from the caravan suspension doctor asking for it to be brought in early. So, back to the park whilst Wendy did a fast pack up. Hooked up the van and Mark went with Greg. They returned, sans caravan but with an explanation of what needs to be done to fix the issue. Seemed to be pretty simple.
After Greg and Mark returned from dropping the van off it was time for lunch. As we did not have our house, we rode into town to Maccas - our first this trip. We had the chicken wraps and they filled the spot nicely. We then had to pay a visit to a $2 shop for a "banister" brush, AKA dustpan brush! The last one was used to clean out the inside of the brake drums of some very toxic dust. We got one of those and a key ring for Greg and a very flash wine glass - see photo. (it is plastic, cost only $2, but looks like very flash lead crystal!) Back to the park for Wendy to resurrect the computer and printer and do some admin.
Greg returned about 5:30pm with the van - yay!!! We scrambled to get it set up before dinner, and were about half an hour behind the others. We ate in the camp kitchen again and a good night was had with cheerful banter.
We were both pleasantly surprised by the bill from the suspension doctor given he had had it for the better part of the day; although we are not going to argue with him. Both Greg and Mark thought he was a decent sort of a bloke and would not charge for what was not done. Whether he has fixed the problem or not remains to be seen. The van did not however make the same noise as it did when we first arrived (according to Brad), so that is a good thing.
