Day 15: Thu 7 Jun – Townsville to Balgal Beach

Drive: 64km; Total towed: 1497km

After early morning stretches and walks, we had breakfast, packed up the van and left about 9:30am. We didn't have far to go though. Whilst we had originally planned to move onto Mission Beach, this morning we decided to stick with the others and stay at the free camp at Rollingstone. However, when we pulled into Balgal Beach for mornos, we decided that we would stay here instead. So, just after 10am, we made camp for the night. It was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we all got in OK. It is a small free camp but it has toilets and cold showers down by the beach for a rinse off after swimming. There is even a potable water supply and a dump point.

After a coffee on a table right next to the beach, we retired to our respective vans for a read and relax before lunch. After lunch, we had an LLD then Greg went for a ride with Mark whilst Wendy did some admin and updated the blog.
