We both had early morning walks before breakfast. We were on the road by 9:15am which was a tad later than the last couple of days, but we were in no hurry. We headed off in the direction of Nyngan. And, what a little gem it was. There were many old buildings and a few nice coffee shops. The first one we entered had a few in the queue in front of us so we went a few doors down to another one and for the grand total of $15 we got two HUGE blueberry muffins and a coffee each. Bonus.
Onwards towards Gilgandra via Nevertire and Warren. We refuelled in Gilgandra before having lunch alongside the town oval. It was a short stop before moving onto Coonabarabran, a town we have been through a number of times and stayed only once. We made it just in time to the John Oxley Caravan Park before a long stream of grey nomads followed.
We set up and went for a wander into town and took a few photos. After dinner as we were watching the end of the SBS News, we thought we'd come adrift from the truck, or there had been a massive earthquake. Upon inspection we discovered someone had backed into our bike rack in trying to find a spot to fill up with water. WT???? Anyway, he apologised profusely and went on his way to find water.
