Day 4: Sun 27 May – Rockhampton

We started the day with individual walks, stretches, and exercises, then had breakfast before heading off with the others to CQ University Rockhampton. Gunther had spent some time here as a student ages ago and wanted to remind himself of just what it was like. He showed us where he took his classes and where he was housed and fed. It was then back to the vans for mornos.

After mornos we jumped into our vehicles and headed up Mt Archer, the peak of which stands some 604m above sea level. It was not such a great day to go sightseeing from the top of a mountain as it was overcast with a light drizzle, and a wind from hell.  We took some pictures and then came back to the vans for lunch. After lunch we had a snooze.

Together with the Fischers, we rode into town to visit the Rockhampton Art Gallery. We (Greg and Wendy) had started doing this when we were in Victoria at the beginning of the year and quite enjoyed them. Some were not as good as others though and the RAG was in that category. There were a few good prints though.
