Day 3: Sat 26 May – Rockhampton

Wendy had some MEPS work to do, so Greg went with Gunther and Mark to the Big Boys Toys show - caravans, motor homes, camper trailers, motor bikes, quads, drones, etc, etc. They were gone until lunch time. After lunch we both had a brief LLD.

Wendy had done a small load of washing in the semi-automatic machine and hung it on the line before mornos. She checked it before lunch and it was still a bit wet, so left it. After the LLD, she went to get it in, and discovered a few items (bra and undies) missing together with the pegs!  Really, how desperate must you be? That really got under her skin and she was not a happy camper.

So, we hopped on the bikes and rode first to Bunnings then back past the caravan park to Woolies for a few resupplies. A couple of kilos of shopping later we were back at the van. Sue approached us and asked if we wanted to stay another night as she wouldn't mind staying and wanted to visit Mt Archer and do the tree-top walk. So, off we went to Reception to pay for another night and got a very nice surprise: if you stay three nights, you only have to pay for two - bargain! Saved $37 odd.
